THE NO-FUTURE OF CUBA HAVANA FOR A LEONARDO

The results of the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba have been widely disseminated by the media. Already much has been written about it, but for those not yet aware of what it means for the island, which has lasted 52 years under one government, this is the summary of the fate that awaits him in Cuba in the immediate future:

a) It is determined that the "fundamental state charges" may not be exercised by a person for more than two consecutive of 5 years each (Of course, in the next 10 years, it is difficult for the elderly who have been half a century in power are alive or at least not in diapers. To succeed them in office will be their children, now control much of the business and affairs of the country, inside and outside of Cuba).

b) was rejected 45 amendments that were discussed and approved by the population, across the country, without any right to be discussed at the conference. (And already have been eliminated, what democracy or democracy ... of course!)

c) In the Politburo no writer or artist, and only one woman (Of course, government as progressive as this is a matter of re-male and male, no or little women artists, who are a "Light").

d) After half a century of "ideology", Raul Castro determines that there is no "pictures" (= political staff) qualified to relieve those who govern the country for half a century. Therefore, the Cuban state is still governed by the same gerontocracy ever.

e) All Central Committee members were "elected" from the application that was developed by Raul Castro himself, and approved by Communist Party members attending the conference (And people say that there are no elections in Cuba democratic. But if they could vote on all Communist Party members attending the Congress!)

f) Of the fifteen members of the Politburo, half (seven) are in the military with the rank of generals or commanders.

For our part, we are seriously discussing the possibility to dedicate, from now on, to talk about art and culture in this blog, because apparently the political situation in Cuba has no choice.
