Cubaencuentro just announced that the dissident Darsi Ferrer and three opponents who accompanied him on a peaceful protest in Havana were released today, twenty-four hours after his arrest, according to informó él mismo. Desde hace varios meses, Ferrer ha estado claiming that the immigration authorities of the island have refused permission to leave the country with his wife and son to travel to the United States.
The doctor dissident, 41, said that so far this year has been arrested on three other occasions, also for hours to be in activities, or has attempted to meet with other dissidents.
Ferrer was released in June last year in Havana after 11 months in custody.
