Cuban essayist and writer Antonio José Ponte has been invited to give a talk at the Cervantes Institute in Paris. The Cuban writer, along with Mexico's Gonzalo Wake, will present the panel 'Narratives cross. Mexico City and Havana ', Tuesday May 3 at 7 pm. In his presentation, two writers analyze the architectural relationships, social and cultural relations between the two capitals.
Celorio Gonzalo is a member of the Mexican Academy and professor of Latin American Literature. He has published wide variety of books, among which are essays on literature and architecture. Some have noticed a kind of weariness in the Cuban blogosphere, mostly due to the saturation of the political issue that many readers are turning away. Or at least, trying to avoid, if possible. For our part, we are seriously discussing the possibility to dedicate, from now on, to talk about art and culture in this blog, because apparently the political situation in Cuba has no choice.
